On January 20th, 2024, the Kent - Queen Anne's Rescue Squad Annual banquet was held at the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company Banquet Hall. Chief Lobley led the Banquet ceremony, With a speech about change, forward momentum and progression after a successful 2023 year for the department, Accomplishing just shy of 1,700, 911 responses to the community, fundraising efforts, and projects within the department to update/upgrade aging equipment. During the banquet Career and Volunteer members of the department were recognized and awarded for their contributions and dedicated service to the department. The department also recognized the loss of one of our life members, Mr. Bruce Owens, who passed away mid year. Bruce held many positions throughout the department, including Captain, Board of Director, and, Life member.
in addition to the membership awards, Sherrif Dennis Hickman Ceremoniously performed the Swearing-in of the 2024 Administrative and Operational Officers.
